What is fan-fiction? Fan-fiction is exactly what it sounds like -- it's fiction about a movie, book, or, in this case, an anime / manga, that's written by the fans.

What is Fullmetal Alchemist anyway? Fullmetal Alchemist / Hagane no Renkinjutsushi, or FMA / HagaRen for short, is an anime / manga made by Arakawa Hiromu and animated by BONES. For more information, check out AnimeNfo and AnimeNewsNetwork.

Where can I get Fullmetal Alchemist? You can download the FMA anime subbed on BT [BT links on AnimeSuki]. I recommend Anime-Keep & ANBU's version as those are the fansubs I'm watching. I also hear that AnimeForever's version has incorrect ranks. The manga scanlations are being done by Toriyama's World.

How can I get my story posted to this site? Check out the Submit page. Be sure to read the guidelines before sending in your fic! If you need additional help, don't hesitate to ask. ^_^

When is Equivalent Trade updated? I try to update as soon as possible when I recieve a fic. Updates will usually come on the weekend as I have school and homework on weekdays to worry about.

Why isn't my fic on Equivalent Trade? There are a few reasons why this could be.
-- Equivalent Trade hasn't been updated. Be patient! Updates will usually come on the weekends, so if a weekend hasn't passed since you sent your fic, wait.
-- I didn't get your e-mail. If it's been over two weeks since you sent your fic, Equivalent Trade has been updated, and your fic still isn't on the site, please re-send it.
-- You didn't follow all the rules for submission. Please take another look at the Submit page. -- I didn't put your fic on the site because I didn't like it. This IS my site so I have the right to reject your fic for any reason. I WILL e-mail you telling you when your fic is uploaded to this site, or, in the case of the the last reason, WHY your fic isn't on the site. When will the next part of [insert fic here] be posted? Being a reader of lots of fan-fiction, I can totally understand how impatient one can get when waiting for the next part of a really good story. However, I probably don't have any more of an idea as to when a story will continue as you will. Your best bet is to e-mail the author directly and politely inquire about the story. E-mail addresses are located with the stories. If there is no e-mail provided for the author, you can contact me and I will see if I have a way to contact them for you. What is a beta reader? Do I need one? A beta reader is like a proofreader for fan-fiction. An author submits their story to the beta reader, who will then read it, making suggestions, correcting the spelling, grammer, etc... As for needing one, if you write fan-fiction, you probably do. Everyone does; nobody can catch all their mistakes. Needing a beta reader doesn't make you a bad writer, it makes you a better one.

What does shounen ai / YAOI mean? 'Shounen' is a reference for boys and 'ai' means 'love', so 'shounen ai' is roughly translated to 'boy love'. YAOI stands for 'yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi', or in English 'No climax, no point, no meaning' or sometimes refered to as 'PWP - Plot? What Plot?'. The difference between the two is, shounen ai is hugging, kissing, holding hands, etc. between guys, while YAOI implies a sexual relationship between guys.

What does shoujo ai / YURI mean? 'Shoujo' is a reference for girls and 'ai' means love, so 'shoujo ai' is roughly translated as 'girl love'. YURI is the counterpart of YAOI. The difference between shoujo ai and YURI is shoujo ai is hugging, kissing, holding hands, etc. between girls, while YURI implies a sexual relationship between girls.

What does lemon/lime mean? Lemons/Lime means there is an explicit sexual scene in the story which is described in detail.

Who runs this site anyway? Well, that would be me, Remula. I love reading fan-fiction [and maybe one day I will venture into writing fan-fiction] and am really in love with FMA right now, so I decided to make a site fan-fiction archive for it seeing as there aren't many FMA websites at the moment.
